You may have seen on my insta account that I have started a little thing called the breakfast project. Being a new mumma (more on that soon) by the time I’ve finished breastfeeding Marley in the morning I am starving and breakfast has been a piece of toasted, devoid of any goodness, eaten one handed more often than I would like so Corey and I have decided to make a real concerted effort to make better meals for ourselves in the morning to start the day well.
This morning he made me this delicious creamy oatmeal smoothie. I’ll drink my oats over warm porridge any day. You can add some extra protein powder if you like to turn this into full meal.
- 1 frozen banana
- 1.5 cups coconut water
- ½ cup ice
- 2 dates
- 1 tsp maca powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup oats
- Blend until smooth
